The project aims to tackle the phenomenon of children victims of trafficking, abuse and exploitation in Mozambique’s border areas, to promote a safe migration for children and to raise awareness in schools and communities, focusing on prevention. Specifically, the project targets Unaccompanied Minors (UAMs) to capacitate them with dangers of irregular migration and resultant Trafficking in Human Beings. It also involves their families and their communities, through activities of prevention and protection in order to raise awareness about the risks associated with irregular migration and trafficking.
Training sessions are also provided in the provinces of origin of UAMs which are addressed to professionals in the field of childhood and migration.
