Southern Africa

In Namibia, figures from the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs on International Migration estimate 6.3% of the population to be international migrants – amounting to one of the highest percentages in the Southern Africa Development Community region. The harmonization of the Namibian Visa Manual and the Immigration Control Act, both envisaged in this specific request, aims at decreasing the number of delays related to the issuance of visas, promoting a better migration management system and preventing visa-related fraud.
